Venue Hire

A small boardroom, classroom, the Upper Foyer areas and rooftop garden can be hired for a variety of functions including book launches, meetings and workshops. Access to Museum exhibitions outside of normal public hours can be negotiated.

The Lower Foyer has its entrance from the corner of Trafalgar and Hardy Streets. Toilets are easily accessible. The Lower Foyer adjoins the Lower Gallery and retail space. The Upper Foyer is accessed via the stairwell or lift from the Lower Foyer. Toilets are easily accessible. The Upper Foyer opens onto the rooftop garden and adjoins the boardroom, classroom and Upper Gallery areas.

The classroom is located on the upper floor via stairwell or lift, and is equipped with whiteboards, tables, chairs and sink bench. This room can accommodate up to 35-50 people for a meeting.

The boardroom is also located on the upper floor and is equipped with large tables and chairs to seat 12-15 people comfortably. This room has an electronic whiteboard, a well appointed kitchenette and opens directly onto the rooftop garden through bi-fold doors. The rooftop garden is ideally suited for social functions of 75-90 people in summer months. There is a cafe in a leased space on site who are more than happy to discuss your catering needs. Clients can arrange their own catering if that is preferred.

Availability of some areas is dependant on the Museum's exhibition and education programme. Audio-visual equipment is available. Venue and equipment hire charges apply. All areas have excellent wheelchair access.
