Do you know how hard your body works to keep you going? In one day your heart will pump all of your blood around your body about 1000 times. Every 30 days your body produces a totally new outer layer of skin- and you don't even notice!
Children, parents, grandparents- anybody who is interested in what makes us tick- will have an opportunity to get involved in the inner most workings of the human body at The Nelson Provincial Museum's next exhibition - Body in Action.
This interactive and fun exhibition will take people on an inspiring and informative journey of scientific discovery with hands on activities and amazing facts.
Children will love the Gutz Game where they can journey through the mouth, stomach, bowel and beyond. Or they can enter the giant nose, test their aerobic capabilities and find out where all that oxygen goes. Even the adults might want to test their reactions, strength, hearing level, pulse rate. For brainiacs, there are puzzles and problems to give the brain a mental workout.
Body in Action comes to the top of the South from Palmerston North's Te Manawa Museums Trust and will be in Nelson over the summer - so there will be plenty of opportunities to visit again with family and friends and learn something new about our incredible human bodies.
