Mapping Permian rocks of New Zealand, a Nelson geologists perspective
We may not have Permian monsters from Nelson, but we do have Permian rocks! Join Dr. Mike Johnson as he explores the Permian rocks and fossils found in Nelson, which is one of the classical geological sections of New Zealand. The section was first examined by Frederick von Hochstetter in 1859 and has attracted geologists ever since.
