Animal Antics: Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards

Animal Antics: Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is a hilarious exhibition curated from the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards Collection featuring mischievous monkeys, clumsy cats, and photobombing fish captured in their most comical moments.

Comedy Wildlife is a UK-based organisation and its annual comedy photography awards are open to international photographers, from amateurs to professionals. Its founders realised that laughter could engage audiences of all ages and cultures with images of creatures they may never be able to see for themselves – and that the world could lose forever.

Instead of images of suffering wildlife and depleted habitats which can overwhelm audiences and cause them to tune out, Comedy Wildlife uses humour to share a wider story about the importance of sustainability and wildlife conservation.  Comedy Wildlife annually donate 10% of their total net revenue to deserving conservation organisations.

Our team have loved curating Animal Antics. We’re looking forward to hearing the laughter and delight of our visitors." says Lucinda Blackley-Jimson, Museum Chief Executive. "This exhibition is also a positive invitation to us all to consider how we can protect these species which bring us so much wonder and joy.”

This bright and delightful display of photography will appeal to all ages.  A break-out space within the exhibition also has animal activities for young children to enjoy.

The Museum will be hosting a summer events programme featuring public talks, an education programme, workshops, creative sessions, and competitions. Keep an eye on our website for details.
