Motor Magic with Mr Science
Get things moving these school holidays with Mr Science at Nelson Provincial Museum.
In this fun, hands-on workshop, tamariki will explore the science of electricity and motors, discover how they make things move, then put their learning into action by creating their own motor-powered toy to test, play with and take home.
Mr Science is a specialist primary science teacher with more than 15 years’ experience inspiring kids around Aotearoa, including shows and workshops at Te Papa.
Two sessions available on 10 September:
• 11am
• 2pm
During the session, kids will:
• Explore electricity and how small motors work
• Enjoy interactive science demonstrations
• Build their own motor-powered creation
• Test, experiment and play
• Take their creation home
Cost: $5 per child
Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential.
